I heard about Python for the first time in the summer of 2000, when 
someone said it's "the next big thing" and not to "waste my time" with 
PHP, but I haven't really worked with it at all.   It's been something 
I've wanted to learn for that whole time, but the syntax barrier has been 
the biggest deterrent so far.

I did, however, share 30 seconds standing next to Guido in the bathroom at 
OSCON 2002, so I feel a certain connection to the language.  :)

Have you used it?  Did you have to install or tweak it to get Mailman 
running?
